  • Abnormal facial features
  • Small head size (microcephaly)
  • Intellectual disability and learning difficulties
  • Poor memory and attention
  • Difficulty with social judgment and impulse control


  🧬 Causes & Risk Factors

  • Alcohol consumed by the mother during pregnancy
  • No safe amount of alcohol during pregnancy
  • Risk increases with heavier drinking and drinking during critical developmental windows
